The Hitsmen is an ensemble of professional players with a wealth of live venue experience. The boys have played together in numerous bands in clubs across North Jersey.
Band members reside in Sussex and Bergen County and draw an audience from a wide geographic area including Sussex, Bergen, Morris, Warren, Hudson, Passaic and Essex counties as well as South Jersey and down state New York. The shows are dynamic and professional with music to cater to any audience.
Jim "The Fixer" DeFlumeri (Lead Vocals, Harmonica)
Jim is a seasoned entertainer, song writer and vocalist who can handle everything from Jim Morrison to Neal Diamond and beyond. He is a consummate artist who builds a connection between audiences and the band, both on stage and between sets. Jim has played in a number of successful stage acts and continues with a strong presence in the Hitsmen.
Larry "Sticks Mandalay" Carey (Percussion)
Larry brings a steady hand and back beat to the Hitsmen and anchors our formidable rhythm section. Larry began playing drums at age 8 and is a well-versed percussionist. He, like all Hitsmen band members, has a wealth of experience playing the northern New Jersey club circuit.
Matt "Bad Cat" Marley (Bass and Vocals)
Matt is the other half of the Hitsmen's outstanding rhythm duo. He is a complete player with a solid background in rock and roll and blues. Matt came up out of the steaming hot cauldron of Hudson County musicians, some of whom (e.g., Clem Burke- drummer- Blondie) are widely regarded professionally. Matt also adds his vocal talent to the band.
Joe "El Guapo" Mystery (Guitar and Vocals)
Joe is another veteran rounding out the Hitsmen Band. He has an extensive song writing, studio and live music background. Joe has produced two albums, Wicked Town and Classic Rock for the New Millennium both available online.
